CKC was founded in 1992 as a non-profit theatre company to introduce children to the magic of live theatre in the Chicago area
The two founders of CKC, (Paige Coffman and Jesus Perez), combine their talents to create colorful and entertaining production for the whole family to enjoy.
CKC's productions are original musicals adapted from Fairy Tales. They feature professional actors, up-to-date references, sing-along songs, brightly colored costumes and sets, and some of the goofiest characters you'll ever see on stage!
All CKC productions are geared for children ages 2 to 12. (But Moms and Dads will love it too!)
Now in its 19th season, CKC has produced 75 musicals for children
in the Chicago area. Over 75,000 see a CKC production each year!
Chicago Kids Company has received arts jobs preservation support from
the Illinois Arts Council made possible by the National Endowment for
the Arts through funds allocated from the American Recovery and Reinvestment
Act of 2009.
